maori language week - te wiki o te reo maori

We have been learning te reo (words), te rakau (stick games) and waiata (songs).

Timing and partner work are important.

We are learning how to swap and throw.

Mrs Penberthy's daughter Amy enjoyed te rakau with us.

  1. It was very fun playing with the sticks. I can't wait for us to share it at assembly.

  2. I really enjoyed you all sharing this at assembly, it was fantastic to watch. It looked like you ALL had been doing this for a very long time because it was performed so well. It brought back good memories of when I did this while I was at school, many, many years ago. Keep up the great work
