maori language week - te wiki o te reo maori

It is maori language week - te wiki o te reo maori. 

We have been learning te reo (words), te rakau (stick games) and waiata (songs).

Timing and partner work are important. 

We are learning how to swap and throw. 

Mrs Penberthy's daughter Amy enjoyed te rakau with us.

It is nice to be in the warm pool.

They are kicking very fast.

We feel like we are swimming in the sea.

Billie B Brown The Copycat Kid
Author: Sally Rippen

This book is about a  girl called Billie.She has a new girl in her class and her name is Mika, Billie is going to show Mika around. Mika came from Japan. She dosen’t really know much English, and Mika was really shy. Billie showed Mika around.When Mika came in the class she was wearing one fancy headband, three star buttons and two purple shoes. Billie was really shocked and annoyed because that was what she was wearing. Then Billie was going to draw a world that is spotty but when she looked at Mika’s drawing she was drawing the same as Billie. Then Mika starts to copy Billie.


I like: When Mika and Billie meet each other.
I would recommend it to people who get copied.

Super Diaper Baby 2 The Invasion Of The Potty Snatchers author George Beard & Harold Hutchins (the creaters of Captain Underpants)

The book is about two cool kids.They wrote an amazing comic book called The “Adventures Of Super Diaper Baby”. but unfortunately,their mean principal,Mr Krupp read it. It was about a baby who accidently drank some super power juice and the baby got some super power.But there was a bad guy who was a poo.So super diaper baby flew into action. He wrapped the doo doo bad guy and threw him where all doo doos belong to. Uranus. Mr Krupp was so angry that he ripped the comic in half. Mr Krupp told them to read a book called How The Grinch Stole Christmas. They thought the book was pretty good so they thought of an idea. They thought about pee. they said “Mr Krupp will love this”. But unfortunately he was even more angry than last time!

I liked the book because it was really funny.

I would recommend this book to people who like super hero comics.(funny).

My holiday!

I went to Wellington by plane.  The plane was a 737. When we got there my friends were there. then we went to the Hotel and we stayed there for 1 day and we went to Tepapa and I saw a gient squede

The holidays

Term 3 has begun. We just finished the holidays. Some of us went to our friend's house, over seas, movies and lots more but some of us stayed home. I, Jessica went to Hamilton and I, Serena went to the movies and my friend's house. Everyone had a wonderful holiday!
